Group Commercial Sales Manager
Location: Midlands (Hybrid – approx. 80% office / 20% home-based)
Salary: £50,000+ DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

We recruiting for a well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector. Due to continued expansion, the business has created a brand-new role to drive profitable revenue growth
This role is responsible for developing and managing commercial sales strategy, overseeing key accounts, supporting long-term contracts, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with sales teams to drive growth
Develop and execute group-wide sales strategies aligned with growth and profit objectives
Drive revenue growth across existing, lapsed, and new customers within the industry
Identify and secure new business opportunities
Manage key accounts, long-term supply agreements, and contract renewals
Lead pricing strategy, margin management, and commercial negotiations
Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical/commercial proposals
Work closely with production, planning, and supply chain teams to align demand forecasts with manufacturing capacity
Track sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasts, and KPIs using CRM systems
Drive sales teams forward through collaboration, mentoring, and best practice (where applicable)
Identify cost-effective, commercially sound initiatives to improve sales performance and profitability
Represent the business professionally at client meetings, site visits, and industry events
Proven experience in a commercial sales, group sales, or strategic sales management role
Background within the manufacturing industry (or similar) is essential
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and pricing models
Experience managing B2B sales cycles, contracts, tenders, and long-term supply agreements
Strong negotiation and financial awareness
Confident, approachable, and relationship-driven with a positive, engaging communication style
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work collaboratively across departments
Existing customer portfolio is advantageous but not essential
Full UK driving licence required
Willing to travel regularly across Midlands-based sites and customers
Revenue growth and gross margin performance
New contract wins and sales pipeline growth
Forecast accuracy and order conversion rates
Customer retention, account growth, and relationship development
Contribution to annual profit and growth targets
£50,000+ salary depending on experience
